Popular Anderson Area Running Locations
Shadyside Recreation Area, 829 Alexandria Pike Anderson IN Try this link for directions or go to http://www.mapquest.com.  There is a 2.65 mile (approximate) paved path around Shadyside Lake.  Much of the path is shaded.  Two bridges allow you to make shorter loops or run a figure 8.  For a longer run follow the path that extends off the Southwest corner of the main loop, under Grand Avenue then back East along Grand Ave and South into Athletic Park.  Continue following the path to Imel Drive, go up the hill on Imel to 10th St, then head back the same route and complete the loop around Shadyside for a 7.5 mi run.

Mounds State Park, 4306 Mounds Road, Anderson IN.  Try this link for directions or go to http://www.mapquest.com.  There is a $4/car fee $5/car on weekends.  Ask for a map at the entry gate.  One loop around the outer trails is about 3 miles.  To add miles, follow the paths that wind through the inner parts of the park or use one of the hill to get your hill repeats in.  For more adventure, find a runner who will direct you or lead you on the Taco Bell route.
