Thursday Night Points Races

Point races began on 11 May and end with the 28 September race.  Start time for the races is 6:00 p.m.  There will be NO point race on 06 July.  All races will begin at the Shadyside Activity area (old beach house).  Restrooms and showers will be available. 

Frank St Phillips has stepped forward to direct this year’s Fun Run races for our children.  Children are a very vital part of our club, not to mention the future of our running club.  If you or a member of your family would be willing to assist Frank, please contact any officer or Frank at the race.  The Children’s One-Mile Fun Run will also begin on 11 May 2000.  Start time for the children is 5:30 p.m.

The Requirements: In order to receive points you must be a member of the Anderson Road Runners Club.  You must participate in a minimum of 10 races to be considered for awards.

Fee: $10 ($5 High School) for a Season Pass or $1 per race.  The fee is required to be scored in the series.

Age Groups: Men and Women 12 & under, 13-18, 19-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over, heavyweight 190+ lbs. (Men Only).  Age group will be determined by the runner's age at the start of the season, May 11th 2000.

Points System: Points will be awarded as follows: 1st Place-50 pts, 2nd Place-45 pts, 3rd Place-40 pts.  Other age group finishers will be awarded points starting at 35 and decreasing by one point per runner.  The point standings will be posted to this site when available.
