Thursday Night Points Races
Preseason races will begin on 04 April 2002, at 6:00 p.m. Post season races will run through the month of October with the races beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Point races for 2002 will begin on 9 May 2002 and end with the 26 September race. Thursday July 4, 2002 will not be a points race. Start time for the races is 6:00 p.m. All races will begin at the Shadyside Activity area (old beach house). Restrooms and showers will be available.
Frank St Phillips will continue to direct the Fun Run races for our children. Children are a very vital part of our club, not to mention the future of our running club. If you or a member of your family would be willing to assist Frank, please contact any officer or Frank at the race. The Children’s One-Mile Fun Run will also begin on 9 May 2002. Start time for the children is 5:15 p.m.
The Requirements: In order to receive points you must be a member of the Anderson Road Runners Club. You must participate in a minimum of 10 races to be considered for awards.
Fee: $10 ($5 High School) for a Season Pass or $1 per race. The fee is required to be scored in the series.
Age Groups: Men and Women 11 & under, 12-14, 15-18, 19-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over, heavyweight 190+ lbs. (Men Only). Age group will be determined by the runner's age at the start of the season, May 9th 2002.
Points System: Points will be awarded as follows: 1st Place-50 pts, 2nd Place-45 pts, 3rd Place-40 pts. Other age group finishers will be awarded points starting at 35 and decreasing by one point per runner. The point standings will be posted to this site when available.

Weekly Sponsors: The club will again be seeking sponsors for weekly awards. Anyone how would like to make contributions for the children's run should contact Franklin St. Phillips or one of the officers. Contributions can be in the form of treats, awards or monetary for these items.
